Retail Business Development Manager - Closing Date Monday 20th February 2012
We are currently recruiting for a Retail Business Development Manager to maximise and effectively manage the introduction of new retailers to the 'Today's' symbol stores and assessing and developing opportunities within our existing base.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and investigate new business potential and initiate contact with potential customers
- Promote and develop the 'Today's' symbol using appropriate marketing methods and other means of promotion
- Ensure effective communication to ensure staff are fully aware of customer needs
- Collate and record customer information and documentation
- Monitor and respond effectively to fluctuating customer trends, suggesting and implementing corrective action
- Inform and regularly update management of customer development and activity
- Deal with customer complaints / queries / problems and where appropriate ensure depot management staff are informed and appropriate action taken
- Develop customer specific initiatives to generate loyalty
- Inform and regularly update the Business Development Manager of customer developments and activity
- Ensure effective control of operational costs in relation to sales development
- Liaise closely with retailers with regard to shop layout, planning and merchandising
- Communicate with all customers and suppliers in a professional manner
